Opalescence PF 35% Teeth Whitening 12pk of Mint flavor syringes (GUARANTEED FRESH) Review

Last year (around August 2010)I purchased Opalescence through my dentist for at home whitening (along with custom made trays from my dentist). I was instructed to fill the tray before bed and wear it 8 - 10 hours each night (while asleep). Results were great, but took about 8 - 10 weeks to achieve. The first 4 weeks was using Opalescence PF 10% Melon Flavor (which was not strong enough) and showed very little improvement in whiteness.
The next 4 - 6 weeks I switched to Opalescence PF 20% Melon Flavor, and I began to see improvement after about 2 weeks. In the end, I was very pleased with the results and over the next few months I got several compliments on how white or pretty my teeth were (which has never happened in my life!)
I stopped using the product in about November 2010 and by about May/June 2011, I needed a touch up, so results lasted about 6 months. I decided to go through Amazon to save money & went up to the 35% strength as I have a special event coming up this month and didn't have 8 weeks or longer to prepare. With the 35%, you only use the product for 30 minutes during the day, NOT overnight. I have used the product 2x daily since receiving it (in anticipation of this upcoming event) and after 6 uses have had VERY good results. I have not experienced any tooth sensitivity using the product, but did get it too high on the tray once and my gums started stinging and turned white in that spot. I took the tray out and the spot and sensitivity were gone the next day.
All in all, this is the best product I've used (much faster than the white strips or anything you can buy OTC). I have nothing but good things to say! I will continue to use this product!

Cushion Grip Thermoplastic Denture Adhesive, 1-Ounce Tubes (Pack of 4) Review

For those persons who find this product difficult or impossible to use and see no benefits, I offer my own tips which also incorporates the instructions you get with the adhesive. I am a 67 year old female, so I'm no rocket scientist - but I will share my secrets with you, for using this product. Over time, I have come to use these techniques and they work quite well for me!
Make sure your denture is perfectly clean and absolutely DRY. I take a facial tissue and with the aid of a clean rat-tail comb (the handle area) - I press the tissue into the denture area where the adhesive is to be applied to make sure the area is perfectly dry. While I'm doing this, I have the tube of adhesive sitting in a container of hot water - which will permit an easier extraction from the tube. I estimate maybe 20-30 minutes of VERY hot water from the tap.
When the tube has been heated sufficiently, I remove the cap and squeeze out 3 small balls of the adhesive - about the size of a large garden pea into the deep channel towards the front of my denture. I usually squeeze out 3 balls, placing one at the front teeth area and one to each side of that. Then I take a clean rat-tail comb - the tail area that you hold, and slowly press the balls of adhesive down into the denture crevice and smooth out the adhesive. I apply these balls to the front portion of the denture - I don't apply ANY to the back areas on either side -you'll see why in a little bit.
Now, I place the denture into my mouth and press down firmly with both hands, so as to allow my gum line to imprint a form on the adhesive. I usually hold this in place for a count of 10. Then I remove the denture and trim off any excess that might bleed up over the top ridge of the denture. When the balls of adhesive are applied to the front portion of the denture, as you press down, any excess will push to the back areas, along the gum channel. If you applied them to the back areas, as you press down, the adhesive would push on out of your denture to the back and be wasted. If you have any fragments get loose in your mouth while pressing down in the impression phase, simply spit them out or remove them with a tissue. No big deal!
Now, let your denture to sit and air dry - usually overnight (out of your mouth).
After the drying phase - this adhesive turns light pink in color. You are now ready to start wearing the denture with the adhesive installed. As time passes, food and water may slightly soften the adhesive. The product says it should last 4 days. Well, as an experienced user, I can say - it lasts me for weeks and weeks. As time goes along, some of the adhesive may stretch a little and ride up to the denture ridge, when it does that, I simply trim off the excess with a pair of scissors.
To remove the old adhesive in order to apply a new coat, I do the following. Because this adhesive sticks to your dentures really well, I heat the denture in hot water for maybe 30 minutes. This will soften the adhesive. Then, I use a thin blade paring knife and tweezers to pry the adhesive up and out of my denture.
I have encountered no bad smell or bad taste using this adhesive. It does smell a little coming out of the tube, but I don't find it offensive. After it is applied and dried somewhat on the denture, I sense no smell or taste at all.
This will NOT prevent food particles from working under your denture. But it DOES pad any gaps between your gums and the denture form and makes wearing dentures a much more pleasant experience. It does NOT wash out and need reapplied daily like many other brands on the market.
I hope this helps people who have had problems using this product or are going to try it for the first time. I love this stuff - I can't imagine using anything else.

Reach Clean Paste, Access Flosser Refill 28 ea Review

The Johnson Access flosser itself is widely available at drug stores but the refills are not. Thanks to amazon, I can now get them when I need them.
Few people can floss easily with regular dental floss and give up a wise habit. These custom refills used with the manual or electonic base make everyone, even those with limited use of their hands, able to make the flossing habit a morning ritual.
I miss the original refills which were available more cheaply in bulk in 2006, but the new 'flavored' 28-packs work just as well.
It seems the manufacturer wants you to buy a new base when you run out of refills, since in stores today, that's the only way they are sold. But thanks to amazon, this is no longer necessary.
I've re-ordered refills-only several times and amazon's supplier is very reliable.
Another example of why more people are shopping online -- because chain stores are failing to stock items we all use daily when they are no longer new on the market. Amazon in particular is as product-conscious as they are service-friendly.

Oral-B S-320 Sonic Complete Rechargeable Power Toothbrush Review

After owning a Sonicare Elite 7500 for just over a year, like many other people, my battery started to give trouble. I kept it for awhile longer until eventually I could only brush once after charging for 12+hrs. So I decided to try the Oral B S-320 Sonic Complete. It was hard to decide which was better based on research alone, as each company had their own studies claiming which was better. Below are my own personal comparisons after using each toothbrush.
Oral B S-320 advantages over Sonicare Elite 7500:
1. Much easier to handle and easier to clean brush head. The Oral B brush head is nice and small and a snap to clean. The Sonicare's head is big and is extremely difficult to thorougly clean and easily builds up a stench.
2. Cheaper brush heads. Oral B heads are 3 for $20. Sonicare's are 2 for $20.
3. Cheaper toothbrush. Oral B retails at an average of $100. Sonicare used to be around $130 but can be found now for about $115.
4. Oral B is more attractive in terms of colors and design. This is based on opinion, however, as some may prefer Sonicare's more basic and 'professional' looking design. Plus Oral B's brush head is fairly ugly.
5. Oral B's bristles are harder. This should mean it will better remove stains from your teeth. For some this could increase chances of bleeding gums, but in most cases, in time your mouth should become accustomed.
6. Oral B's brush heads are bigger. I would've thought this to be a disadvantage as it may be harder to reach the back of the mouth, but the head isn't obtrusive, it just cleans more teeth at once.
7. Oral has 3 cleaning modes. The massage mode is actually a different type of virbation. I don't know if it actually works, but hey, it's there.
Sonicare Elite 7500 advatanges over Oral B S-320:
1. The Sonicare shows 5 different battery levels. The Oral B only uses one light like the Sonicare 7300.
2. There are separate buttons to change speed and to power on/off the toothbrush. The Oral B uses one to control both, which is easy to do but may be sometimes annoying.
Other things of note
The Sonicare may feel slightly more expensive than the Oral B, but that's not to say the Oral B feels cheap.
The Oral B continues vibrating after the 2 minute timer is up, the Sonicare stops and if you want to continue you must turn it back on. This would be a preference of either depending on the individual. I prefer it to stay on because I like to brush a bit longer than 2 minutes.
There's my opinion on the two brushes. You can check the Sonicare Elite 7500 page on Amazon for my review on the product. Overall, you can obviously see I think the Oral B is better. So I am happy with my switch. Hopefully the battery doesn't mess up like the Sonicare, since they utitlize the same technology.

I have been using the ionic tooth brush for about two years. I haven't had my teeth cleaned by a dentist or dental hygienist in over ten years. I tried to volunteer myself for a dental hygienist so she could get her state license. I didn't qualify because my teeth were TOO CLEAN. Interesting because I only brush my teeth once a day. By the same token I don't eat garbage and I use a daily dental regimen taught to me by a hygienist over twenty years ago. I have to say after using this toothpaste for about a week I can tell that my teeth are definitely whiter by maybe a couple of shades or more. I am sold on this product for sure and to be honest it does as good a job as whitening strips did for me in the past. I combine this with Listerine Whitening Vibrant White pre-sinse/mouthwash to make a power house combo for a nice looking smile. Give it a try and see what you think after a week or two at the most.

Brushed Nickel, Modern, Self Cleaning, Handheld, 12 setting Review

I've always been a bit unsatisfied with the spray power and the suspension of handheld shower heads, but when I bought this model back in 2006 and found it to be the best shower head I've ever had so far. At the time, it was also the most expensive I've had. When I went looking for another one I found this new version has been significantly changed since 2006.
In general, this model is larger and heavier than most. The old one had two control rings - one to select one of six spray patterns and another to adjust the pressure. The new one omits the pressure adjustment but it's basic spray pattern puts out a nice, dense set of clean streams that are just right - neither too fat nor too needle thin. The center pattern provides a very powerful stream that is great for washing dirt off the toes of muddy paws and for rinsing off the enclosure itself.
Another plus for those of us in hard water zones - since most of the streams are emitted through individual rubber tips, they should be less vulnerable to hard water mineral deposits and easier to clean.
Unfortunately, the updated model is not as well made as the one from 2006. The old one had an extra long, metal hose which hung straight down - out of the way and less susceptible to twisting under pressure. It was very well mated to the hanger bracket as well. It slid fully in and out of position easily without damage to the finish.
I can't say as much for the new version. The hose has a metallic appearance, but it is made of plastic now and seems a bit shorter. The bracket is tighter making the shower head handle more difficult to insert. Black marks are now forming around the pressure point after only three weeks of use.
The new version also has the drawback of being packaged with lower quality gaskets or washers. The older version had gaskets that could be easily sealed with only a firm hand turning, yet allowed smooth repositioning around the ball joint. The new version seems to have harder, shallower gaskets that don't fit as well.
It took some effort to tighten the fittings enough so they didn't leak. With the extra pressure, it's more difficult to move around the ball joint. I also worry that the extra pressure will eventually weaken the plastic parts and make them more easily subject to cracking.
Most of the basics of the new design are intact, but these seemingly minor attempts to reduce production costs have significantly diminished the performance of what was an excellent shower head. Still recommended, but no longer as satisfying as the previous model.

This is a must have comb. Used to have them in all of the drug stores. Now - for some reason I cannot find them. For fine or thinning hair - this comb works wonders for a little backcombing. Glad I could find it on Amazon after visiting the big 3 drug stores, Target and a few beauty stores.

I have very sensitive teeth and have tried every sensitive toothpaste that I could find to help relieve the pain of my sensitive teeth. Sensodyne toothpaste helped relieve some of the pain for a limited time but, not all. I accidentally came across a tube of Tom's of Maine sensitive toothpaste last year and gave it a try, not expecting it to be any different than the other brands that I had tried. However, since the very first time I used the sensitive toothpaste from Tom's of Maine, I have had NO more pain from my sensitive teeth at all. It is amazing to me that I have finally found a product that does exactly what it says it will do. I now make sure that I have a tube of Tom's of Maine sensitive toothpaste on hand at all times.

Secure Smile Cosmetic Dentures False Teeth Novelty Review

Absolutely wonderful product! Fitting was very easy. Unlike the Imako (which I think is horrible and was a total waste of my money) the Secure Smile is made from dental acrylic, so you must first heat the teeth and form to the curve of your own teeth, then apply the melted thermoplastic and do the final fit. Water MUST be heated just to the point of boing or you will not get proper melt and adhesion. Once fitted these teeth look great! Far more realistic than the Imako. Definitely much more attention to detail tooth shape and gum color, most likely because they were actually designed by a dentist. The acrylic doesn't stain like the soft Imako material, and even thought you're not really supposed to, I have eaten with the Secure Smile in place when a client asked me to lunch. I would never even consider it with the Imako. It is upsetting to see this product listed as a toy. I think the Secure Smile teeth are a serious product that can change your life, while the Imako definitely looks like a toy.

I switched to this 10 months ago, at the encouragement of my son who advised me to avoid fluoride as well as the many other healthcare and food products with weird and potentially harmful additives that are currently being used by today's major manufacturers. Though surprised by the color... sort of a speckled dark gray-green, the taste is pleasant, non-stinging and my teeth feel very clean and fresh. This toothpaste is as effective as any of the big name pastes that I have ever used. My dental checkup was great, even though my last routine hygienist cleaning had been greater than 17 months... and they were surprised! Now I feel good to be making conscious decisions about the products that I use.

I bought this toothbrush hoping for a better alternative to the electric toothbrush I had before. What a waste of $50. The UV sanitizer stopped working after the first night and the toothbrush stopped charging properly. I can brush on the first setting, but it only seems to have enough power to charge the brush to use the second setting for more than a few minutes at a time if I leave the toothbrush container open. The brush is okay, the sonic motion is nice and gets my teeth really squeaky clcean, but I'm disappointed with the rest of it.
I should have spent a little more money and bought a system from a more well-known company.
Edit: I called Violight and they replaced the toothbrush for me, free of charge, with absolutely no hassle. I will see how the new one works, but I will give them that. They have good customer service and a hassle free return policy.

The trays are very hard to mold correctly, even when the instructions are followed exactly. I had to buy more of the trays and they came out bad.
I finally was able to buy decent trays (actually a guard you use if you grind your teeth at night).
Even then, this was not as good as Crest White Strips.

I am someone who is constantly taking good care of their teeth: brushing, flossing, etc to keep them in good shape. However, recently I looked closely in the mirror only to discover what appeared to be bit of food were brown stains on my teeth! I was horrified. I immediately called the dentist to make an appointment. However, before the app. I read reviews and suspected that the mouthwash I was diligently using was the cause! AFter seeing my Dr. it was confirmed. Even when he scraped it off it is still slightly visible and so my teeth will need whitening. I was extremely disappointed in this mouthwash! I don't know how a product made for teeth would allow them to turn brown! I will be warning everyone about this!

They've made this curling iron for at least 20 years. I used one in highschool for several years until it broke and my Dad (who is an electrician fixed it and it lasted another couple of everyday use. I couldn't find another one (Sally's Beauty Supply was where I originally got it)and by the time I needed another, I didn't know the brand name. I am very excited about finding it on amazon...found it by accident and I will be ordering another. The bristles heat up for faster curling and the curls are more natural than "formed". As another person reviewed, it will burn your head, so you need at least 3-4 inches of hair to really appreciate it. Very well made. Thank you Cache!!!!

It says on the front "with star breath strips" the only thing those stars are good for is clogging the opening.
A few months ago, I bought one of these in the local supermarket for my kids. They used it up and I thought it was a great alternative to have around when you're low on toothpaste as an emergency toothpaste. I bought the 5 pack you see here. The day came our toothpaste was out I took the kids toothpaste, and surprise. The stars clogged the opening.
I decided to let it go but next time it happened again, and again. The last time I squeezed the toothpaste it took a minute of squeezing and squeezing it didn't unclog, I turned right side up and upside down, the stars had clogged it up completely.
I asked the kids and they said that it happened to them almost every day! No wonder I noticed they were taking a little longer in the bathroom in the mornings. If you don't mind the kids being EXTRA late to school in the morning then you wont mind this toothpaste. If you mind them being late DO NOT get this toothpaste.
The quality of the toothpaste itself is comparable to a toothpaste from the dollar store. Save your money and get them whitening toothpaste, it's strong and they wont be embarrassed with bad breath. I've had bad breath two hours after bushing with this even when I had not eaten anything.
The only good thing about it is that it stands up perfectly, but the packaging quality should not outweigh the quality of the product.

This product does use some herbal ingredients and your regular garden variety of unnatural toothpaste ingredients (such as -parabens). Colgate is known to have done animal testing of their products and to have also used some animal byproducts within their products. So, this toothpaste may not be completely vegan-friendly. For those, who are health conscious and not so strict about every single ingredient in a toothpaste, then this product might be better for you. I'm a vegetarian (not a vegan). I can appreciate buying this toothpaste occasionally from my local 99 cent store, when other similar brands like Tom's of Maine (which costs like $5), runs out of my stock. Amazon should have a policy about automatic posting of ingredients in health and beauty products on their website, but they don't. I had to track down the ingredients because I think everyone should be aware of what they're putting into their bodies.
Colgate Herbal Toothpaste Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Sodium Monofluorophosphate 1.1% w/w (a fluoride to prevent tooth decay), Calcium Carbonate and Sodium Silicate (minerals for grinding grit on your teeth), Sorbitol and Sodium Saccharin (sweeteners), Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (a foaming agent), Methylparaben and Propylparaben (preservatives), Carrageenan (a natural gum made from seaweed), Cellulose Gum (a plant-based gum which keeps the ingredients together), and the Herbs: Chamomile (naturally strong scent, makes your mouth feel fresh), Sage (controls gingivitis and treats bleeding gums), Eucalyptus (natural oil with antiseptic properties, gives this toothpaste flavor), and Myrrh (helps soothe throats and strengthen your gums). My Dentist recommended Johnson & Johnson's Reach Gentle Gum Care floss to me, in fact they gave me a sample. I've used it for over 3 years now but we moved from St Louis and I could not find it in any of the stores here in this area so I had to go to Amazon.com to get it. I use the Gentle Gum Care without flouride because my body had a serious reaction to the flouride. I was scared they would quit making this, so I ordered a few extra to have on hands. This floss is like a heavy yarn. It is gentle to my gums even where I have dental implants. This area used to be very tender. Gentle Gum Care has helped toughen up my gums. I love it.

I am extremely happy with this supplement. The amino acid chelate form of calcium is one of the more readily absorbed, but difficult to find. The fact that it is combined here with all of the bone health minerals that I was looking for in one pill makes it unbeatable in my mind, and extremely reasonably priced.
One note: the pills are quite large, so this is probably not the right supplement for someone with pill swallowing troubles.

I watched an informative video before purchasing this product so I was prepared and had no surprises. I have sensitive teeth so I was unsure how I would do with the Whitestrips. I had no problems with them until the 8th day that I used them. My bottom teeth got very sensitive on that day. I have not used them since that day only because my teeth had gotten fairly white by then and I just haven't taken the time to do the last two strips.
I did use the strips each day for the full 30 minutes as directed. I did not feel like my teeth got as white as I would have liked. There were 4 teeth on both the top and bottom that never got as white as the rest; the two "fang area" teeth, and the tooth next to each of these on both sides of my mouth. I was pretty happy with the 4 front teeth in the center (top and bottom). I think I might just bleach the 2 teeth on each side that I would like to see a little whiter for a week or so and see if that works.
I thought the strips stayed on well. They did lighten my teeth a little but not as drastically as I thought they would. I did not notice improvement until maybe the 6th day. I am a non-smoker and my teeth were not that "unwhite" to begin with, so I was surprised they were not as white as I would have liked by the 8th day.
The bottom strip needs to be a little wider in order to fully cover all 8 teeth exposed in the front bottom row. The top strip covered my top front 8 teeth perfectly.
I would recommend this product, but your teeth might not get "super white".

Never in a million years would I think I would have such strong feelinsg toward a toothpaste. I bought this product about 3 weeks ago and immediately after using it noticed stringy pieces of white skin on the insides of my mouth. Especially in the morning. Terribly gross and I could not for the life of me figure out what was causing this. Finally I remembered that i had just bought a new toothpaste. I searched online to see if anyone else had problems with is and low and behold I found many sites where people had the EXACT SAME PROBLEMS. One lady said her son had to have a skin graft done because the toothpaste had eroded the gum enough to expose the root of a tooth. I immediately threw the product away and of course the problems went away.
This may be an allergic reaction that some people have, but I have never ever had this problem with any other toothpaste. This product should come with a warning and many people say it should be removed from shelves. If you choose to use it, please keep an eye out for problems!!

This floss is the best available, when it's available. The woven texture is easy to grasp and control and provides more fibers to clean the space between teeth. This is not the best dental tape and, for the money, not that much better than regular floss, in my experience. The best dental tape I've tried is Jason Tea Tree Oil dental tape, which is available in health food stores but can be hard to find.
If you do decide to buy any of the dental tapes offered on Amazon, you might do better to order them directly from drugstore.com, where (at this writing) they cost less.

I will admit I was disappointed with some of Tom's other products like the odd scents of many of their natural deodorants but this product restored my good opinion of this company. I'm not exaggerating when I say the fennel flavor of this toothpaste makes me look forward to brushing my teeth. It is a very nice taste and gives the breath with a natural and sweet scent and a great aftertaste. Please roll out more of the sweet scents from nature's basket. I bought several months supply and I 100% recommend this!

I got this for my kids and I tried it a couple times. I have some old bonding material on my teeth and the Smart Rinse stained it a brown color. I quit using it and the stain is going away but watch out if you or your children have any kind of dental work. It could stain. Personally, I'd stick with Act instead. TOOTH - GNASHER SUPERFLASH (Reading Rainbow) Review

First published in 1981, the "Tooth-Gnasher Superflash" has all the ingredients that go into a "Pinkwater." These include silly sounding names such as "Mr. Popsnorkle" (other books include a "Mr. Plumbean" and "Mr. and Mrs. Submarine"); unusual visuals (Popsnorkle floats sideways over his worn out Thunderclap-Eight); improbable situations, exemplified here by the Popsnorkle-driven Superflash turning into a turtle, a dinosaur, and a flying chicken; and, most famously, Pinkwater's signature dry, subtle-yet-silly humor:
"'Look!' shouted the five little Popsnorkles.'The Tooth Gnasher Superflash!'" (NOTE: We see a picture of the Popsnorkles and a salesman wearing an orange suit standing next to a light blue racing vehicle.)
"'It is a pretty color,' said Mrs. Popsnorkle. (It was light blue)."
"'May I show you the new Tooth-Gnasher Superflash? We only have one left.'"
"'Is it the light-blue one?' Mrs. Popsnorkle asked."That interchange may go right past some little ones' heads, but like the best kids' humor, it can be appreciated at many levels (think "Bullwinkle"). As mentioned above, when Popsnorkle takes the wheel and starts pressing buttons, the Tooth Gnasher Superflash transforms itself into a series of impossible (and sometimes extinct) animals. The exuberance of the Popsnorkles combined with the increasingly fearful face of the salesman in the back seat create a farcical scene made even more spectacular by the Superflash's many forms (though it always remains a nice light blue, even when it looks like a big elephant).
The very perplexed salesman takes "lots of money," and the Popsnorkles drive off in the Tooth-Gnasher. The last paragraph does not disappoint, as Pinkwater manages to inject yet another surprise in this creative, silly, and fun book. Highly recommended for almost anyone that can appreciate the Pinkwaterian style; this book may very well make a fan out of you! As there are several books by Daniel Pinkwater (some of the later ones beautifully, whimsically illustrated by his spouse, Jill Pinkwater), you'll be in for a treat.

I purchased these gizmos for my kids. Unfortunately the kids are not good about removing excess water from the brushes before putting it into the holder, which doesn't have adequate drainage. At least once a week, I have to take the thing apart and soak up the water. In addition, the batteries don't last very long and the uv light isn't really strong enough to sanitize. I've even seen mildew grow inside the holder. I am very disappointed.

Hydro Floss Oral Irrigator Review

I purchased the HydroFloss from my dentist after having repeated trouble with a WaterPik Ultra which I had previously purchased on Amazon. My dentist sold me the HydroFloss for $80, but I would gladly pay the $99 with free shipping. This product is so superior to the WaterPik...and so much more dependable. The water tank is larger, the cords are longer, and it never hesitates or shuts down due to low water levels. The pressure adjustment choices are excellent and there is no drippage from the handle or the tank. The tips that come with the unit are fine for most uses, even getting into the gums. If you want to massage the gum line, then I would suggest also purchasing the "Pocket Pal Jet Tips" which have rubber tips. Don't bother with the "Sulcus" tips because they are not rubber coated and are very sharp. The only negative about this unit is the noise. It is louder and more high-pitched than the WaterPik, but that's a small inconvenience compared to its excellent performance. I don't have any opinion regarding the claim that magnets cause an ion change in the water...it's not detectable. I will wait and see what the verdict is on the health of my teeth and gums at my next checkup, but I'm betting it will be positive!

I developed gingivitis/receding gums literally overnight 3 months ago, even tho I take meticulous care of my teeth and gums. I frantically searched online for products which could hopefully nip this in the bud and save money in the log run as well as my teeth. I used this oil as directed. This whitening gel is very strong. It does a great job. One thing people should be aware of though is that you need to be very careful how much you use. Not anywhere did I read that you cannot get the stuff on your gums, so what did I do -got too much on my gums. It started to burn, but I ignored it thinking the stuff was just working real good. No. Bad. I wasn't able to hold out very long. No permanent damage, but real tender for a couple of days. I just wish I knew it going in. Now I am more careful. No biggy, just be careful and the stuff works great. I would definitively purchase again/recommend.

I'm an Oral B user of many years, have always bought replacement brushes at the local drugstore, and was completely satisfied. I purchased this 3-pack of replacement heads and had one come apart in my mouth after a few weeks of normal use. The metal pin at the end of the head came completely out and the rotating head came off. Both head and metal pin were loose in my mouth, an obvious swallowing hazard. The packaging displayed here does not look like my packaging, which is very plain saying only "Oral B Precision Clean", and the brush just feels cheap.
I cannot prove this brush to be a counterfeit yet, but I am contacting Oral B.
Update: Contact Oral B by telephone. Item I received is counterfeit and Oral B requested I return it to them. If your item's packaging does not look identical to the customer supplied images, I would not use the replacement head.

OPALESCENCE 20% PF MINT REFILL KIT Review

I buy these 4-packs through my dentist but now that I know Amazon sells them, I will purchase from here in the future due to the better price.
I've been using these tubes for about a year now and I can promise you that this stuff works FAR better than anything you can buy at your local drug store. I started out with the 15%, which I slept with every night for 2 weeks. After that, I used the 20% to go even whiter and for a once a month touch-up. This stuff will really whiten your teeth and it doesn't make your teeth as sensitive as the less-effective strips you buy locally. I've even slept with the 20% in and had no issues.
I can honestly say that this product has whitened my teeth at least 7 shades. If you're a coffee or red wine drinker, I don't recommend consuming them when you're going through your initial 2-week starter phase with these kits. Your teeth are really opened up with the gel and that makes them really prone to staining. I managed by using a straw for coffee/wine. Not the most glamorous looking thing but it keeps your teeth from staining.
Definitely recommend this product but only if you're gonna visit your dentist for custom trays. It's a small investment for a lifetime of white smiles.

Vitamin D 1000 IU - 250 - Softgel Review

Recent research has show Vit D deficiency to be present in large numbers of the US population. Many are in offices all day, use of sunscreen blocks the natural Vit D obtained by sun exposure, people in northern latitudes get no benefit from the sun from November to April,
Optimal serum Vit D hydrox levels are above 32, I am 11.
I was prescribed ergocalciferol 50,000 units weekly by my endocrinologist.
I have problems with additives and dyes in meds so asked if I could use Vit D3, cholecalciferol, instead. He said I would need less D3 because it is more potent that D2 but he knew of no pharmacutical brand that produced that. I told him about this and he agreed I could use it.
I would only need 2000 units per day and this product is a pure form from a reliable manufacturer.
It is now being suggested that the current RDA is too low, that many adults could use 1000 units per day and more than 2000 units daily could be toxic.
There have been so many disease states that have shown improvement with adequate vitamin D levels that new recommendations for daily requirement will be forthcoming.

Oral B Triumph 9950 with Smart Guide - 4 Brush Heads - Dental Office Exclusive Model + Additional 3pk of FlossAction Review

Oral B has been a leader in personal care products for quite some time. They consistently make high quality products that are built for high performance and to last for many years. The Oral B Triumph series power toothbrushes are some of the finest on the market, and the Triumph 9950 is surely the best there is today.
I purchased this kit from Amazon at a great price. I received my order within just a few days and was delighted with how well it was packaged. Setup was a snap, taking just 10 minutes or so to set everything up, and the brush was fully charged and ready to use in just a couple of hours. I was excited about the wireless Smart Guide display, which seemed to be a great idea at the time. The instruction manual gives an easy to understand set of instructions, with plenty of illustrations. I mounted the Smart Guide display on the wall, just to the left side of our mirrored medicine cabinet (in the master bathroom), using the included double-sided adhesive pads. You have to wait several hours before actually inserting the display module into the newly mounted holder, so that the tape has a chance to fully adhere to the mounting surface.
Using this power toothbrush is a delight. Brushing my teeth no longer seems like an unpleasant chore. The 9950 is powerful, and the battery charge lasts for several days before the unit needs to return to the charging base for a refill. The FlossAction brush heads are firm yet gentle, providing a soothing feel on your teeth and gums. The brush does not hold much toothpaste, but you will find that you really don't need as much as with a normal toothbrush. If you are used to running your toothbrush under water before brushing, you will probably NOT want to do that with this power brush. If you do you will likely find that you end up with a sloppy liquid mess, dripping from your mouth and down the shaft of the brush head and onto the motor unit. You apply the paste (or gel) to the dry brush head, press against your teeth, and close your mouth most of the way. If you don't you may find toothpaste spattering off from the fast moving brush head. You are supposed to move the brush slowly and gently across your teeth, spending roughly 15 seconds on each zone (upper right, lower right, lower left, upper left). The compact brush head makes it very easy to scrub the inside portion of your teeth, removing tough stains. I drink a great deal of coffee and tea, and I am finding that the Oral B Triumph 9950 has removed nearly all of the stains within just a few weeks. AWESOME!
I have only a couple of minor quibbles with this model. First, although the Smart Guide wireless display seems like a neat idea, I find it to be silly and useless. Its purpose is to inform you which zone you are supposed to be brushing, displays a countdown timer so you know how much longer you need to brush (2 minutes total brushing is recommended), provides a graphic alert if you are brushing too hard, shows what kind of brushing mode you are in (clean, sensitive, polish, and massage), and even lets you know when it is time to change your brush head. At two minutes the Triumph 9950 brush motor will create a pulshing brush action for a couple of seconds, to let you know that you have brushed for the recommended amount of time. The Smart Guide display then presents you with a big smiley face, as a reward for your proper brushing habbits. If you continue to brush the counter will begin showing the accumulated time (counting up if you set it to do so), and at 2 minutes and 30 seconds the smiley face will change to a broader smile. If you brush even longer eventually the smiley face wil close one eye to give you a wink. WOW...isn't that friendly! The first couple of times I used the Triumph 9950 I was intrigued with the Smart Guide display and watched it with amuzement. I have since stopped looking at the display at all, as it is just silly and repetitive. I do like the fact that it will alert me as to when to change the brush head, but the onboard LCD display on the brush motor could have been designed to show this information as well, which would eliminate the need for the Smart Guide remote display altogether. This is just my opinion though. I'm sure some people will enjoy the wireless display a great deal. I think younger teens and adults may find the display a nice feature, but I just find it a useless addition which just elevates the price of an otherwise great power toothbrush. I also don't think that the 2 minute brushing recomendation is long enough. I brush for at least 3 minutes, and that pulsing action at the 2 minute mark just tends to annoy me. The Smart Guide display shows that you are supposed to change quadrants, in your mouth, every 30 seconds, which just doesn't seem long enough. I barely get the front of the teeth, in each given quadrant, cleaned in that timeframe. I end up spending about 30 seconds on the front and another 20 on the backside of the teeth. This is why my brush time far exceeds the 2 minute recommended timeframe.
Overall this is a truly wonderful product. The entire kit has a look and feel of high quality. The charge stand has a snap-on brush holder, which holds 4 brush heads and has a hinged, clear lid. You sit the 9950 motor into the charging base, which uses inductive technology to charge the batteries of the handheld motor unit. This prevents the need for metal electrical contacts, which means that even if the motor is wet you will not have to worry about the threat of an electrical shock. As mentioned before, brushing with the Oral B Triumph 9950 is a real delight. Using it is virtually effortless, and it does an excellent job of cleaning your teeth and even removing stubborn stains. The replacement FlossAction brush heads aren't cheap, but they aren't that bad. Aagain, some of this inflated cost is due to the wireless chip installed into each head, which is what transmits a signal to the Smart Guide display, so you know if you are brushing too hard and when you need to replace the brush head. If Braun were to remove this wireless chip, I would expect that the cost of the replacement heads would be at least a few bucks cheaper. A 3 pack of these heads can be had for about $20. That's not too bad, but again it increases the cost of your brushing hygiene. Oral B has definately creatd a power toothbrush that is as close to perfection as you can buy on the market today. I highly recommend the Triumph 9950 to everyone, and I have encouraged all of my friends and family to get one for themself. It also makes a great (although somewhat costly) gift! =o)

I'm 85% done with the product and I'm somewhat disappointed. It does work, but it's not as effective as a tray system. It did fade away the yellow, but it didn't make it white. This is likely due to the fact that the gel does not stay in place and gets washed away from saliva, maybe it will work better for people with dry mouth. Overall, it's an average product that shows some result.

Amazon sent this 6-pack with just 2 months left until expiration. The paste had bad yellow coloring and the taste of an expired product. Usually toothpaste expires 2 to 3 years after sold, depending on the manufacturer. No wonder Amazon never publishes expiration dates which would've prevented waste of time by consumers.

I bought this toothbrush about 3 weeks ago at W-mart for $12.99 and I really like it. My Crest Spinbrush broke and I wanted something rechargeable but couldn't afford to spend $80+ on a toothbrush so I picked this up. I have sensitive teeth and my gums bleed sometimes, but I have not had any discomfort at all with this toothbrush. It's quieter than the spinbrush and the entire unit is smaller which makes it much more comfortable to use. The vibrations almost tickle, I don't find it bothersome at all and my teeth and gums look and feel cleaner and healthier. I think this is a great toothbrush for those of us on a budget.

This toothbrush is a pure waste of money. The idea of buying a natural bristle brush is that the ends of each bristle will be naturally rounded so it doesn't scrape your teeth and ruin the enamel. This toothbrush has flat-cut bristles with 90 degree edges (NOT GOOD FOR TEETH). Also it is very large. Maybe i have an unusually small mouth, but i just could not comfortably brush with it or get into all the nooks and crannies in the back of my mouth. Plus the bristles tend to be a lot softer than synthetics. So if you want the equivalent of a synthetic soft, you want to buy a medium natural bristle.

Just wanted to point out that these 'classic' heads are different than the newer 'pro' heads that have both brush areas moving. The classic heads only have the round bristle part rotating and the other bristle part is stationary. Seems like a minor difference but once you're used to the pro heads you never want to go back. I guess that's why they're cheap.. ;) other than that, these are fine.

Orajel Medicate Toothache .06oz Swabs 12ct 1.8 ml Review

I developed a toothache while I was out-of-town for a few days. In desperation, I bought a pack of these Orajel Swabs hoping they might mediate the pain even a little. I was surprised (and quite relieved) that they really worked. The shaft of each q-tip is filled with something similar to the stuff that the dentist rubs on your gums before giving you a novacaine shot. It numbs the surface quickly and easily which would help with any sores in your mouth. To get it into a toothache you have to be a little more aggressive and sometimes even break off both ends of the q-tip so you can pour the liquid directly on the spot that hurts.
You probably wouldn't want to use use it for a prolonged period of time, but in an emergency these can really make the difference until you can get to a dentist. I keep a pack in my car now.

Crest Glide Dental Floss Review

I've recently started flossing regularly because my dentist said i could avoid an upcoming cavity or two if i did. So... just about every other day i started flossing and asked my wife to buy glide as i've used it before and liked how strong it is (this stuff never breaks, rips, or gets little strands).
I just went to the dentist today for a cleaning and although she said my teeth/gums looked wonderful and she could tell i've been flossing, when i asked for a glide sample, she said they don't carry it. She got real quiet, almost to a whisper and said: "it doesn't work" and went on to say that it's kiddie floss... She explained that because it glides so easily it doesn't pick up much of the plaque or other objects that normal "crappy" floss does (I added the crappy part, not her).
So now i feel like i'm in a predicament... I really hate all other flosses, not because they don't glide, but because they're not strong. I figure if i'm going to take the time to floss, i should be using a product that works the best. But, you can't argue with results, my teeth impressed the dentist after i had been pretty much only using Glide the last 6 months. What to do...

My vet recommended a drinking water additive that was so much more expensive than this product for my rescue cat's swollen gums. This product not only was cheaper but it reduced the swelling in only a couple of days. My cat's breath isn't a whole lot better but I think her gums are in much better shape.

Great product. Already appears to be working well. Packaging is an issue though. I thought it was interesting that it was 2.6 oz and all the other Rembrandts are 3 oz. Also the tube is more plastic than the traditional toothpaste tube so it proves more difficult to get the paste out of the tube.

These get the tangles out without pulling hair and the fit nicely into a purse. I wish these were more readily available as they were very hard to find and I had owned one for years before I made this purchase. These last forever and they are great! Who needs a brush when you have one of these that does a better job and is easier to control.

VIOlight Dental Spa Review

When I first opened the package and started to use this product it was very very loud. Even trying to wrap a towel around it to block out the noise wouldn't work. Upon further inspection we had a small amount of water in the unit which was causing the noise. Now that it is dry it works just fine. Great product and it does work!!! My tooth guard had junk removed from it that the human eye couldn't see. When I opened the lid you were able to see all these specks removed. GREAT PRODUCT

Marvis Travel Sized Toothpaste Review

Last night and this morning I brushed with Marvis and I felt like I had just gone in for a cleaning. My teeth feel fabulous! I plan to use Marvis for a few weeks until my dental checkup and see if the dentist notices a difference. I feel that the taste is much better than other toothpaste. It doesn't burn the tongue or mouth. It's not harsh. It's a nice mild taste that leaves the mouth refreshed and the teeth smooth.
Try it for a week. I know it's pricey for toothpaste. But buy ONE tube of Marvis. Floss every morning and evening and then brush afterwards with Marvis. I guarantee you that your mouth will feel different.
I could actually see myself carrying a tube of this toothpaste in my purse and brushing after every meal. THAT is how much I adore this product.

I wanted to start CDing so I read a bunch of reviews on a bunch of brands. They all had some great reviews, but there are always people who don't love a product. I decided to buy 3 different brands to try. I bought 1 bumgenius diaper, 1 oh Katy, and 1 fuzzibunz. I didn't love the fuzzibunz from the beginning. The fleece lining is so thick. I just thought it would be so hot in the summer. That isn't what bugs me now. I don't like that the pocket opening doesn't have a flap coming down from the waistband to help keep the insert in the diaper. I also don't like the adjustable elastic system they have. The bumgenius and oh Katy diapers are very similar in their construction. I think the oh Katy diapers could fit a smaller baby because they have more snaps. I am going to sell my fuzzibunz diaper and stick with bumgenius and oh Katy.

2 Complete Watts Power Professional 22% Teeth Whitening Refill Sets with NEW FCP Enamel Booster Gels- Optimized Formula for 35% Results Review

Product seems to whiten O.K., but the problem lies in the difficulty of use. The instructions say to brush the gel on your teeth with a toothbrush, and then put in your tooth trays; or, to apply a tiny amount to each "tooth" in the trays.
I thought the toothbrush method would waste too much, so I attempted to apply to my tooth trays. That turned out to be nearly impossible. I have used DayWhite in the past, and that product comes with tiny nozzles that are used to dispense a small amount into each tooth section. The Watts Power has no nozzle, or any way to dispense just a small amount. The gel comes out of the syringe in a big blob, with no way whatsoever to control the amount. I just have to spread it along the tray as best I can, but it is extremely messy, and some teeth end up with a lot, and some with just a little. The gel is also very thin, and once the trays are on your teeth, much of the gel oozes out. I constantly have to blot my gums.
If the maker would supply a nozzle of some kind, or some way to control the amount dispensed, this might be a decent product. But I am sure I will get nowhere near the amount of applications indicated, since so much of the gel is wasted, no matter which method of application is used. Seriously doubt that I will order this product again.

I have already used Oral B Triumph toothbrush for a couple of years, I have to say that the Flossaction toothbrush head is the best one from Oral B so far, it works REALLY well. I like it better than the other Oral B toothbrush heads; I can feel my teeth super clean and fresh after I use the Flossaction head, I use the power tip every other day, I use it instead flossing these days, this is a great combonation, it is more expensive to buy them seperately.
I buy it here, because the shipping is free.

Luster Premium White Weekend White Accelerator Mouth Rinse & Super Whitener Review

I bought this way cheaper elsewhere.
Here's the pro's, con's & tips.
I have used the product 4x this weekend, 2x more to go.
I'm already seeing results, so mileage may vary.
I have good teeth, but drink a lot of tea, so the lower half of my teeth are brown.
This product is like a 2 part epoxy.
The mouthwash preps your teeth.
The gel brightens them.
The best analogy I can provide is like a 30% hydrogen peroxide.
When you apply the gel, it bonds to the teeth.
It looks kind of pearly.
It commences fizzing.
Voila white teeth!

The cons are that you can hurt yourself using this product, & that it makes me thirsty.
TIPS
Brush your teeth et al before using product.
Put a layer of Vaseline on lips so not to burn lips.
Wash any residue off lips after session.
Do the bottom teeth first as you will be salivating.
If you salivate, spit it out before applying product.
It's like trying to paint a wet surface.
It's not going to happen.

This is the only whitening I can find that doesn't hurt to apply. I have micro cracks in my teeth and the peroxide ones (Crest, Colgate, etc) hurt my teeth. I tried this and it works without pain.

All of the stores in my area have stopped carrying this toothbrush. I bought a couple of the ones now being stocked, but they have an irritating shape to the handle, with hills and valleys, I suppose to be ergonomic. Yuck. This is the best toothbrush they make. The bristles are perfect, the head tilts so it is easy to brush your back teeth, and the whole toothbrugh is simple and straightforward. I have been having very bad bleeding in my gums the last few times at the dentist.
It has gotten so bad that I can taste it (i know, nasty).
I stumbled across this while searching for something else.
I tried probiotics before for digestion with good results so I figured it may work.
I have only used it for about 4 days and I have already noticed an improvement.
I just let one melt in my mouth just before bed.
I am going to the dentist next week. We'll see what he says ....
P.S. It taste pretty good too ...

I have had yellow and even orange color teeth my whole life.
I always grinned rather than smiled.
UNTIL NOW!...... After 2 weeks my wife saw 30% improvement. After 4 weeks there was 50% improvement.
Now i used few times a week and have very white teeth.
I even make a point to smile now to show my friends my new white teeth.
I even feel better about myself now.
This product is hard to locate any other place than AMAZON.
At beginning, use morning and night and don't close mouth, simply make a fake smile with teeth together for 10 min.
Do not drink liquids 20-min after or it will wash the product away.
ALSO, USE WITH THE TOOTHPASTE FOR BEST WHITENING POWER.

Dentists all over the country are recommending the Oral-B electric toothbrush. There are several reasons. It does the work for you, vibrating thousands of times a second, massaging your gums, it lets you clean your teeth without scraping your gums with a toothbrush, which can cause them to recede and bleed, and it reaches between your teeth to catch plaque and germs. This is a wonderful toothbrush, and I recommend it. However, if you want a review of a toothbrush, you'll read the toothbrush page. This is a page for replacement heads.
There's a lot of confusion about replacement heads for Oral B electric toothbrushes on Amazon, and I just want to give you all some facts. There are only three kinds of heads for ALL Oral-B electric toothbrushes. Flexisoft EB17, Extrasoft EB17, and Ortho OD17. I prefer Flexisoft EB17 (The Extrasoft is a little too soft, and the Ortho is overpriced)
What worries me about this listing is that it claims to be the Extrasoft EB17, but the picture of the item shows the Flexisoft EB17. Be warned, Amazon might be confused about this item and selling it incorrectly labeled. On the Extrasoft EB17, all the bristles around the outside edge are the same color. If you're looking for Extrasoft, make sure you find an item where the picture matches the description.

When I found these in the store awhile ago I picked up a package and tossed a few of the indivudal wrappers in my purse. One day my nine year old and I were at Mc Donald's at the Mall and we each used one.
My son thought it was really great to see the food particles that came off his teeth, but I was impressed with the ease of use and the fact that he liked using these.
I am on my fifth package at this point. The price is a bit high for only twelve, and I wish they contained more. Every day my son gets one in his backpack and he is not embarassed to use at the cafateria.
The texture is not bad on the teeth, it just slides on your finger and swipe away. It even works on dentures. There is a slight mint flavor afterwards, so it is a two in one product basically with leaving a fresh scent in your mouth.

Obviously I like this item because it keeps my oddly-sized toothbrush lint and dirt-free when I travel. What is not to like about that!? Because I am the only one in my house with a radius toothbrush right now, I like that I can tell which toothbrush is mine without opening all the cases...but if anyone else gets one, we can color-coordinate, so we will all know which one is ours. I am actually getting another one because I discovered that I can us it in my purse to store tampons. That's right. A toothbrush case. For tampons. lol. Don't ask how I came up with that, but it works and I've been looking for a tampon case since the 80's, so this is exciting for me. Another possible use? Sewing paraphernalia. I like to take hand-work with me sometimes, and I can store floss, my needle and sewing scissors in here. Now I have to get three. I should stop reviewing this now so I don't think up another reason to buy more...

I knew these were not going to be exactly like the 3D super whitening strips since they are for touch ups after your teeth are already white. These do not adhere tightly to the tooth surface, they are like the original strips, a bit flimsy and gooey. I have only used them once but hopefully they will at least take care of the daily coffee staining.

We use this toothpaste because the tube stands on the cap on the shower ledge. This is the lowest price I found. Very fast delivery even though I used free delivery option. I have not had a cavity in 5 years.

They are angled so you can reach the back teeth, and after you've flossed and the floss gets slack, you can tighten it up by pinching the plastic handle. I gave this Waterpik to my husband for Christmas. We haven't used it to long but from what we know it seems great. The true test will be with our next dental check-up. The base flosser seems to have more power than the cordless but I really like the cordless to use in the shower. No worries about getting wet that way. At this point we are very happy with our waterpik.

SleepRight Standard Select Low Profile Night Guard Review

Having never worn a night guard before, I was very happy that I ordered the low profile one. I have a small mouth and the adjustable sides enabled me to fit it just right. The tiny strip that fits across the lower bottom teeth holds it right in place when positioned according to the directions. I was afraid that it would keep me awake at night, but once I figured out the correct settings and placement, it was like wearing contacts; you don't really notice it if you don't think about it. It does seem to work better for me if I lie on my back and not on my side. The one thing that I didn't understand when I ordered it, was that this product is not made to bite down on, but to separate your teeth so that it re-trains your muscles to hold your jaw in the correct positon while you're sleeping so that you don't feel the need to clench at all. Surprisingly, I only have to wear it a once or twice a month. I have been clenching my teeth ever since I had my braces removed as a teenager. Over the years my subconcious clenching has caused stress cracks in my molars and migraine headaches. Wish I had gotten this 25 years ago.

Once you've got your own trays, the Opalescence PF 20% teeth whitening syringes are very quick & easy to use. They also work. I used my trays for 2-3 hours per day for 3 days. After that, I left them in all night. Very little sensitivity (I did skip a day after each all night use). And the results are very noticeable. I will definitely use the product again in another 6 months or so.
