I have been a happy user of the Butler FlossMate for many years. I've gotten so used to using it, I can't imagine flossing any other way. So I was very disappointed when my last FlossMate broke recently and I discovered that they are now hard to find (and expensive). This product looked like a "cheap replacement"...but I figured it was worth a try.
This floss handles are great! I daresay a close copy of the FlossMate but with some improvements. The spacing between prongs is ever-so-slightly wider -- just a bit easier to navigate in the mouth. And the prongs that hold the floss have a slightly deeper indentation -- which I think will make the floss less likely to pop off, as it does occasionally with the FlossMate. There's a subtle indentation on the bottom -- that feels quite comfortable in your hand when using it. And the plastic seems a bit better able to stand the test of time. While the clear plastic of the Butler was attractive, the tension between prongs reduces over time; every one of my FlossMates snapped like a wishbone after a while).
The price for FOUR of these is the same as the price for one Butler (where you can find it): which makes it a real bargain.
