We have used this product for years now. . .ever since Total came on the market. Recently almost all toothpaste has come with a whitening agent.Our trusted dentists for almost 15 years will not allow us to use a whitening agent because whitening, over time, destroys enamel. OK, so we are over 60 and to start destroying the enamel on our teeth would be foolish, to say the least. We both use floss, this toothpaste, and a good mouthwash twice a day. I use the dental picks that go with the Oral-B Hummingbird. This is a great product. The price on this item is competitive and the service is great. I would not use any kind of a whitening agent on my teeth unless I was specifically given permission to do so by my dental professional.
