Interplak Swj1 Sonic Water Jet, White Review

I have used the Waterpik Ultra Water Flosser for years and love it, but thought I would give the Interplak Water Jet a try as a vine reviewer. My first impression after taking it out of the box was that it wasn't as sturdy as my Waterpik. I filled it with water, plugged it in, but found that it was significantly louder than the Waterpik. In addition, the very highest (hardest water pressure) setting is just about equivalent to the lowest setting on the Waterpik. (The WaterPik range has a 10-90 PSI range with 10 various setting in that range. The Interplak only goes up to approx. 10-30 PSI).
There are a variety of attachments you get with the unit, including a water jet tip which I use the most. I was disappointed that only one was included and I will have to order additional tips separately. You also receive 1 subgngival tip, 1 tongue cleaner, 1 soft finger massager, and 2 full size brush heads (which I really won't use since I am pretty much sold on traditional brushing). To tell you the truth, the only attachment I've ever used on my WaterPik is the water jet tip; this is the attachment you will probably use the most on a daily basis.
The Interplak has "sonic pulsing action" which is obtained by inserting batteries into the hand device. (My Waterpik doesn't have this feature.) There is a separate button on the hand device to turn this function on or off. It really didn't improve the effect using the water jet tip, but could be useful if you use the brush tip.
If you like a lot of bells and whistles, this may be the unit for you. Truthfully, I won't use most of the functions and prefer the very basic functionality of the WaterPik unit. Current cost for the WaterPik on Amazon is $47 (reg $60) and the Interplak is $40 (reg $50). In my opinion, for the extra $7-$10 the WaterPik is the best buy. You will get better quality and will last you for a good long time.
