Nature's Gate Natural Toothpaste Review
I've adored using this toothpaste, and it's been my favorite pick for at least two years now. I found the anise flavor delicious. I really looked forward to brushing and had to check several times to make sure it didn't contain sugar. But, unfortunately, the manufacturers decided to mess with a good thing, and it's definitely not for the better... I neither know, nor am interested in learning, the condensed version of toothpaste chemistry. With or without sodium laureth or lauryl sulfate, (the latest demon chemical to undergo scrutiny in Organic Land), I don't really care. What does matter to me, is the disappearance of the wonderful flavor. The most stupid decision would have been if Nature's Gate thought they would try to entice people who objected to anise into trying, but I suspect it probably was more related to cost of the spice vs. profits. Now, they have a great "new and improved" formula that is sulfate free, but unfortunately tastes for all the world like brushing one's teeth with bar soap.
