Acca Kappa Toothbrush with Natural Bristles Review
I was looking for a vegan toothbrush and this is the only one I found with so called Natural Bristles where they didn't specifically mention Boar Hair in their listing (as we are vegan, and do not support the factory farm industry). I was looking for a toothbrush for my 14 month old baby without all the leaching plastics of our modern day chemical industry's wonderful cancerfest. So when we figured out the toothbrush didn't mention what the bristles were, we gave them a call. We figured it was a plant, but it was in fact 100% all natural Boar Hair bleached with peroxide. (We figured this out because upon opening the package, the room smelled a little like bacon... seriously. lol)Well since this toothbrush was definitely too large for any baby's mouth, I went ahead and used it on myself, since we had already purchased it and it would be dumb on my part to spend the money sending it back. So all in all, this is an awesome toothbrush and cleans my teeth really well. The bristles are a little stiff at first, but they soften up with use (at first they made part of my gums bleed). But after you break it in, it's about medium softness. I would have rated it 5 if the bristles were made of bamboo or something... Take note and make a toothbrush for people that don't support destructive industries such as the one where the boars came from. Use sustainable resources such as Bamboo or Hemp... I'm sure someone could create a strong enough fiber to be used as a toothbrush. Thanks.
