Colgate Herbal Toothpaste 200g (Pack of 3) Review

This product does use some herbal ingredients and your regular garden variety of unnatural toothpaste ingredients (such as -parabens). Colgate is known to have done animal testing of their products and to have also used some animal byproducts within their products. So, this toothpaste may not be completely vegan-friendly. For those, who are health conscious and not so strict about every single ingredient in a toothpaste, then this product might be better for you. I'm a vegetarian (not a vegan). I can appreciate buying this toothpaste occasionally from my local 99 cent store, when other similar brands like Tom's of Maine (which costs like $5), runs out of my stock. Amazon should have a policy about automatic posting of ingredients in health and beauty products on their website, but they don't. I had to track down the ingredients because I think everyone should be aware of what they're putting into their bodies.
Colgate Herbal Toothpaste Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Sodium Monofluorophosphate 1.1% w/w (a fluoride to prevent tooth decay), Calcium Carbonate and Sodium Silicate (minerals for grinding grit on your teeth), Sorbitol and Sodium Saccharin (sweeteners), Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (a foaming agent), Methylparaben and Propylparaben (preservatives), Carrageenan (a natural gum made from seaweed), Cellulose Gum (a plant-based gum which keeps the ingredients together), and the Herbs: Chamomile (naturally strong scent, makes your mouth feel fresh), Sage (controls gingivitis and treats bleeding gums), Eucalyptus (natural oil with antiseptic properties, gives this toothpaste flavor), and Myrrh (helps soothe throats and strengthen your gums).
