First of all, these are strictly NOT for dental use, or any kind of medical use. It says so right on the package. Only the tips are stainless steel, the handles are cheaply plated and mine are chipping all over already even though I just opened the package. I'll probably throw them away in case they have lead in the silver paint/plating, because it is getting everywhere. They were cheap, so my expectations were low, but if I saw these beforehand I would not have ordered, and return shipping would be more than I paid.SE Single Ended Pick Set 5 Pieces Overview
