Listerine Essential Care PowerfulMint Paste claims that it is clinically proven to prevent and reduce plaque, gingivitis and bad breath.It tastes remarkably like Listerine mouthwash and left my teeth and mouth feeling fresh and clean.
I have been using Close-Up daily for over two decades and really prefer the taste of that brand over Listerine; however, when I compare the anticavity ingredients, Sodium fluoride (.24%) in Close-Up is compared to Sodium monfluorophosphate .76% for Listerine. The Listerine product also contains antiplaque/antigingivitis with no such claim from Close-Up.
Will I give up Close-Up for the Listerine product? Probably not.
Is Listerine a better tooth care product than Close-Up? Probably.
Old habits die hard.
