I don't know if it is the ingredients in the "freshening bead" or the brushing action, but somehow, this little device does leave the mouth feeling much fresher than eating a mint can. It is little weird to use, the brush bristles aren't as fine as a toothbrush and you have to manipulate the brush around a bit to get the little bead to burst, but it a very refreshing sensation. It leaves your mouth with a long lasting freshness when you can't use a real toothbrush. I like it better than mints because they seem to leave my mouth feeling unpleasant again once they are gone and I'm not super-fond of chewing gum.
