This toothpaste costs around 40% more (by volume) than an average toothpaste. This, however, does not clean your teeth 40% better but it seems to be significantly better than an average toothpaste.I have used this toothpaste for 2 weeks with my Sonicare toothbrush. My previous toothpaste was Listerine Essential Care which is also 20-30% more expensive an than average toothpaste by volume. The Listerine Essential Care toothpaste is about 10-15% better than a regular toothpaste and this Colgate toothpaste is about 10% better than the Listerine toothpaste. My best guess is this toothpaste is around 20%-25% more effective than an average toothpaste in its overall cleaning performance.
What's more, it seem to prevent the plaque from forming on my teeth better and my teeth has never felt so clean other than after my appointment with a dental hygenist.
This toothpaste uses a cleaning agent similar to the one used by dental hygenists. It doesn't clean as well as your dental hygenist professional grade stuff, but this might be the best consumer toothpaste you can buy in America.
If you are willing to spend extra buck or two to buy the best toothpaste, then I would think this toothpaste would be worthwhile.
