Don't be fooled by the charging cradle. You can't leave the brush handle in the charging cradle like you can with the sonicare. Rotadent stole the great design of the Sonicare but didn't bother to use a lithium ion battery like the Sonicare that has no memory effect. The nickel metal hydride battery in the new Rotadent is better than the old Nickel Cadmium battery, but not by much. I am not sure why they are so behind the technology curve as lithium is the only way to go. What good is having the charging cradle if you can't use it as a storage base.
